Jerry Lee Maines

Jerry Lee Maines, born August 21st, 1968 in Baltimore, Maryland to Dean Maines and Dianne Holman; passed away May 21st, 2023 at his home in Mount Airy, NC. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lloyd Maines and Alice Maines Adams and "Pop" George Adams; maternal grandparents, Fred and Georgia Flack.

Left to cherish his memories is fiancee Sandra Meadows of the home; son, Preston Maines and Alexis of Mt. Airy, NC; daughters: Chelsea and Austin Smith of Jacksonville, NC, Briana and Alec Riker of Charlotte, NC, Kaitlin and Robert Nancarron of Seagrove, NC; grandchildren: Raiden Smith, Zander Hawks and two on the way; father, Dean Maines of Sparta, NC; mother, Dianne and stepfather, George Holman of Sanford, NC; brothers: Lloyd and Kristie Maines of Hamlet, NC, Larry and Sheila Maines of Aberdeen, MD, James (Butter) and Donna Maines of Elkin, NC; sisters: Tracy Keyes, Krista Hughes, Mary and Matthew Kiger. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends also survive.

Jerry was an avid sports player at Alleghany High School where he graduated in 1987. Jerry was a huge "Tarheel" fan. Jerry was a family tradition truck driver for thirty plus years. He was employed by Southland Trucking in Boonville, NC. To know him was to love him.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Jerry will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 27th, 2023 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverends Bill Jenkins and James Worrell officiating. Interment will follow at Crouse Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Butter and Donna Maines, 115 Wild Cherry Ln, Elkin, NC.
