Jerry Lee Billings

Jerry Lee Billings, age 75, of Sparta, NC; passed away Tuesday, July 28th, 2020 at his residence.

Jerry was born November 22nd, 1944 in Wilkes County to the late Ambrose Rush Billings and Anner Belle Royal Billings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Octavia Eller Billings; an infant son; three brothers: Charles Dean Billings, Thomas Wayne Billings, and Steven Donald Billings; a sister, Lessie Mae Cardwell.

He is survived by four children: Tim Billings and wife Penny of Sparta, Tammy Crouse and husband Ronnie of Sparta, Dena Busic and husband Gary of Piney Creek, Destiny Billings of Mt. Airy; five grandchildren: Greg Crouse, Laurin Shaw, Clay Busic, Ava Busic, and Ryleah Utt; two great-grandchildren: Kinsley and Kason Crouse; Companion, Helen Hamm of Sparta; three sisters: Betty Sue Isaacs and husband Gordon of The Dalles, Oregon, Mary Lou Reynolds and husband Chuck of Hernando, Mississippi, Carolyn Ann Absher of Sparta; nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.

Graveside Services to honor the life of Jerry will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, July 30th, 2020 at New Salem Cemetery with Brother Ed Hall officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by Bruce Wayne Osborne VFW Post# 7034 of Sparta. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family will not be receiving friends.
