A message from Janice’s children:

Mom was a loving sister and friend. She would do anything she could to help any person or animal that needed it. She loved the military and law enforcement and made sure everyone knew that with her flags. She also loved cooking and listening to music. Janice was a God loving woman with a big heart, and she will be forever loved and missed by so many.

Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart. Mother, you left us beautiful memories, and your love is still our guide. Although we cannot see you, you’ll always be at our side. A mother’s love is always with her children. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. She was always there for me when I needed her, no matter what. I love you forever, Mom.

Mama, no matter what we faced—our ups and downs, or any differences, you will always be my mother. I remember sitting by my mom outside on Sunday nights listening to her play her guitar while she sang her heart out. My mother taught me how to stand up for myself. She helped me become the mother that I am today in the best ways she knew how. I will miss you and love you forever, Mom...aka “Fire Woman.”
