Janet Lee Robbins Edwards, age 52, of Sparta; passed away Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Janet was born December 25th, 1968 in Rutherford County, NC to Carolyn Rhymer Robbins and the late Hollis Robbins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Joe Bill Edwards.
Janet was a loving wife and mother. She was great homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her children. She loved her animals and couldn't have too many cats. She loved working as a Veterinarian Tech in her earlier years. She attended Cape Fear Community College. She was always very private about her illness but always kept a good attitude in spite of it.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Chris Edwards of the home; three children: Brandon Edwards of Spartanburg, SC, Cameron Edwards of the home, Will Edwards of the home; her mother, Carolyn Rhymer Robbins; four sisters: Vickie Roupe and husband Barry of Rutherfordton, NC., Kelly Cloninger and husband Norman of Lumberton, NC., Melinda Collier and husband Bud of Bostic, NC., Allison Greco of Sparta; mother-in-law: Monra Wagoner Edwards; brothers-in-law: Mike Edwards of Sparta, Joe Edwards and wife Melia of Sparta, Jeff Edwards of Sparta; sisters-in-law: Carollyn Pruitt and husband Harold of Sparta, Robin Johnson of Sparta; Many nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.
A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 29th, 2021 at Glade Creek Cemetery with family and close friends only. No formal visiting hours will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Save A Pet of Alleghany, PO Box 44, Sparta, NC 28675.
The family respectfully request no visitors at their respective residences.
