Harry Gerald Taylor, Sr., age 73, of Sparta, NC; passed away Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.
Harry was born March 7th, 1951 in Havre De Grace, MD to late Andrew B. and Rose Reeves Taylor. He was a high school graduate. Harry served his country in the US Army. He was an E6 UH1 Huey Helicopter mechanic from 1971-1980. He earned an Aircraft Crewman badge, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and was a 1 LP Expert .38 Caliber pistol. After being honorably discharged he became a Chemical Research Engineer for the Federal Government. Harry loved gardening, for himself and for others. He was an excellent mechanic and especially loved working on tractors.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah L. Taylor; seven children: Harry G. Taylor, Jr., Dawn S. Earnest, Andrew B. Taylor, Carrie A. Zorbach, Jennifer M. Taylor, Michael A. Taylor, Amber M. Taylor; twenty-two grandchildren: Zachery, Adam, Faris, Rami, Saji, Emma, Jordan, Cassidy, Aiden, Roman, Evalina, Emily, Madelyn, Cambria, Kiedan, Christian, Carter, Kayleb, Corbin, Christopher, Bailey, Oaklynn; one great-grandchild, Edward; a sister, Pamela Dennis.

Friday, August 16th, 2024, 5:00 pm, at Whitehead Community Building, 5371 Spicer Mountain Rd., Sparta, NC 28675.
Saturday, October 12th, 2024, 1:00 pm, at Schucks Regional Park Pavillion, 301 Schucks Rd., Bel Air, MD 21015.
