Harold Dean Turner

Harold Dean Turner, age 82, of Jonesville, NC; passed away Monday, July 24th, 2023 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Harold was a member of Disciples Fellowship Church in Jonesville. He worked for many years as Personnel Manager at Fieldcrest Cannon in Kannapolis, NC; an active member of the Y's Men Club with the YMCA and was a proud graduate of Clemson University. Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Harold was born March 3rd, 1941 in Inman, SC to the late Robert and Annie Pack Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Edith McCarter and Margaret Turner.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda C. Turner of Elkin; two daughters: Lisa Keck and husband Brian of Little River, SC, Amy Moore and husband Mike of Pleasant Garden, NC; five grandchildren: Blake Keck and Chandler Keck both of Columbia, SC, Kendall Moore of Pleasant Garden, NC, Brandon Moore of Greensboro, NC and Alex Moore of Burlington, NC; two step-daughters: Darla Hoffman and husband Rodney of Clover, SC, Dana Shaw and husband Dennis of Jonesville, NC; five step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Harold will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 30th, 2023 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Pastor Jason Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow at Landmark Cemetery in the Whitehead Community of Sparta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
