Harold Eugene Pardue

Harold Eugene Pardue, age 82, of 830 Pardue Road, Sparta, NC; passed away Thursday, December 8th, 2022 at Alleghany Health in Sparta.

Harold was born August 4th, 1940 in Wilkes County, NC to the late Claude Gilmer Pardue and Nannie Lou Gentry Pardue. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Crabtree Pardue; two brothers: Claude Gilmer Pardue, Jr. and John L. Pardue.

Harold was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1959 until 1965. His passion was farming and agriculture.

He had a strong love of family, left to cherish his memory is two children: Mark Pardue of Sparta, Amy P. Lucas and husband Chris of Sparta; three grandchildren: Ethan Pardue, Austin Pardue, and Ella Lucas; a sister, Irene P. Carter and husband Bennie of Boones Mill, VA; special nephews and a special niece: Randy, Dean, Gary and Tim Blankenship, Tina Joines; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

A memorial service to honor the life of Harold will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
