Harold Ansley Ogletree, age 92, of Roaring Gap, NC; passed away Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.
Harold was born February 18th, 1932 in Conyers, GA to the late Hewlett Hardy and Lilly Lee Moss Ogletree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Carter; a brother, Donald Ogletree. Harold was a graduate of Georgia Tech where he obtained a Mechanical Engineering Degree which he utilized to design air pollution control systems. He was a lifelong member and trustee of Salem Campground in Covington, GA and a member of Antioch Methodist Church of Glade Valley.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Cox Ogletree of the home; a son, Daniel A. Ogletree and wife Donna of Greensboro, NC; two daughters: Denise O. Greene and husband Ronnie of Sparta, NC, Melanie Jill Ogletree and husband Larry Clark of Graham, NC; five grandchildren: Angela Greene and husband Sandy Blocker, Ryan Russell and wife Susan, Elizabeth Flordelis, Matthew Russell and wife Ana, Brandon Greene and wife Elisha; five step-grandchildren: Cory Clark, Amanda Dove and husband Alex, Lauren Clark, Reginald Compton III, Brandon Compton and wife Brittany; twelve great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Harold will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverend Dr. Richard Brinegar officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery in Glade Valley. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
