Glenn Wilson Attaway, age 89, of Laurel Springs, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center in Durham.
Glenn was born in Lawrenceville, GA on December 1st, 1931 to the late Alvin and Hattie Belle Little Attaway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children: Sandra Attaway, Sheryl Smith and Michael Glenn Attaway; two brothers: Nathan Attaway and Luther Attaway; four sisters: Eddie Belle Everett, Beatrice Attaway, Blondine Mott and Mary Attaway.
Glenn was a wonderful man who never met a stranger. Everyone he met became a friend. His sense of humor and kindness drew people to him.
Survivors include six children: Juanita Lemmons and husband Buddy, Dwight Attaway and wife Marion, David Attaway and wife Lisa, Gail Palazzo, Susan Attaway, and Lisa Zarlenga; his beloved friend of 25 years, Sarah; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Susie Attaway; a brother, William Attaway; several extended family members and countless friends also survive.
Memorial Services to honor the life of Glenn will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 10th, 2021 at Peak Creek Church of the Brethren with Brother Ed Hall and Pastor Tim Sizemore officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
