Geraldine (Mabe) Blevins

Geraldine Mabe Blevins, age 78, of 981 Mabe Road, Laurel Springs, NC; passed away Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 at Margate Health and Rehab in Jefferson, NC.

Geraldine was born June 2nd, 1944 in Alleghany County to Faye Halsey Mabe and the late Claude Wayne Mabe. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Claude Mabe; a grandson, Joshua Ryan Souther.

Geraldine was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She was an ordained lay speaker, and was a volunteer with Alleghany Cares.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Clifton "Tim" Blevins of the home; her mother, Faye H. Mabe of Laurel Springs; two children: Pam Souther and husband Alan of Piney Creek, Andy Blevins and wife Daina of Sparta; six grandchildren: Lacey Jaye Hayes and husband Mark of Clemmons, Karly Phipps and husband Reece of Piney Creek, Luke Souther and wife India of West Jefferson, Destiny Hodge and husband Johnathon of Sparta, Joshua Blevins of Laurel Springs, Rachel Rife and husband Lucas of Sparta; four great-grandchildren: Cameron Phipps, Sullivan Souther, Gabriel Flippin, and Mila Faye Hodge; a sister-in-law, Lucy Mabe of Laurel Springs; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Geraldine will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Cathy Davis and Reverend Johnny Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. No formal visitation will be held at the church.

Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made in memory of Geraldine to a charity of the donors choice.

The family respectfully request no food be brought to the home.
