Frank R. Jones

Reverend Frank R. Jones, age 83, of 18 Crouse Lane, Glade Valley, NC; passed away Monday, December 6th, 2021 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. He was born July 8th, 1938 in Grayson County, VA to the late Weldon and Minnie Hines Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sixteen siblings.

Reverend Jones was a Minister for over 46 years. He retired after 43 years from Dr. Graybow Pipes in Sparta and later worked for Alleghany In Motion.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Irene Hodge Jones of the home; a son, Roger Jones and wife Elsie of Sparta; a daughter, Donna Hamm and husband Randy of Sparta; three grandchildren: Joey Jones and wife Alisha of Laurel Springs, Cody Hamm of Sparta, Zach Hamm of Sparta, and Riley of Sparta; three great-grandchildren: Tyson Jones, Charlie Jones and Meadow Hamm; two step-grandchildren: April Eastridge and husband Jody of Winston-Salem, Beth Maines and husband Bryan of Sparta; four step-great-grandchildren: Savannah, Leah, Ivan and Lyndsey; a sister-in-law, Bobbie Sprinkle of Sparta; a special canine companion, Buddy; a special friend, Bryan Crouse; several nieces, nephews, many friends and his church family also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Reverend Jones will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, December 10th, 2021 at Full Gospel Church of Sparta with Reverend Mike Ferree, Reverend John Godfrey, and Brothers Randy Rippey, Randy Hamm, and Cody Hamm officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
