Infant Everlee Shay Hughes, age 2 days, passed away Monday, January 5th, 2026 at Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, NC.

Everlee was born January 3rd, 2026 in Mount Airy, NC to Baylee Shay Billings and Kaden Hughes. She was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Steven Lee Billings; a paternal grandfather, Richard Lee Hughes, Jr.

Survivors include her parents, Baylee Billings and Kaden Hughes of the home; maternal grandmother, Patrice Billings of Sparta; paternal grandmother, Sara Hughes of Mouth of Wilson; maternal great grandparents: H. L. Roper of Bristol, TN, Will and Debbie Stone of Sparta; paternal great grandparents: Julia and Gary Bonham of Mouth of Wilson, Richard Lee Hughes of Independence; paternal great great grandmother, Emma Phipps of Mouth of Wilson; two uncles: Mason Reeves and wife Grace of California, Dakota Sumner and wife Terri of Sparta; great aunts, uncles and extended family also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
