Everett Willie Evans, age 94, of Laurel Springs, NC; passed away Friday, November 3rd, 2023 at his residence.
Everett gave his life to the Lord in January of this year. He retired several years ago from Sparta Pipes after 30 years of service. After his retirement from Sparta Pipes, he continued to work to stay busy, working in the dairy, driving a dairy truck, and working at Pioneer Eclipse until he was in his 80's. His passion was riding motorcycles and did so until four short years ago at the age of 90.
Everett was born June 1st, 1929 in Alleghany County to the late Dewitt and Laura Irwin Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Reva Triplett Evans; two brothers: Odell and Johnny; four sisters: Faye, Marie, Ruby and Zella.
Survivors include his three children: Larry Evans of the home, Bobby Evans and wife Ollie of Sparta, Judy Pennington and husband Brent of Winston-Salem; thirteen grandchildren: Jason Evans and wife Denise, Randy Evans and wife Stephanie, Sarah Evans, Angela Tilley and husband Jason, Cassie Whitley, Matthew Parsons, Crystal Knopf and husband Cale, Josh Evans and wife Amber, Billy Evans and wife Jennifer, Elijah Evans, Hannah Bare, Noah Evans, and Bella Bare; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a special friend, Paul Reeves; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Everett will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, November 6th, 2023 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverend Richard Jones and Chaplain Kevin Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehead-Joines Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Bobby and Ollie Evans, 76 Montview Dr., Sparta, NC.
