Evazell (Miller) Kilby

Evazell Miller Kilby, age 91, of Jefferson, NC; passed away Friday, October 7th, 2022 at Margate Health and Rehab in Jefferson.

Evazell was born September 28th, 1931 in Ashe County to the late Joe and Cordia Bowlin Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clate Kilby; seven brothers: Ward, Gilbert, Robert, Delmer, Henry, Sebert and Wade Miller; a sister, Faye Dixon.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Goodman and husband Jimmy of Glendale Springs; two sons: Bobby Kilby and fiance Victoria of Sparta, Larry Kilby and wife Diane of Roaring River; a sister, Shirley Jones of Glendale Springs; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Evazell will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, October 10th, 2022 at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in the Glendale Springs Community of Ashe County with Reverends Frank Woods and Russell Sheets officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Joyce and Jimmy Goodman, 284 Old Wilkes Road, Glendale Springs, NC 28629.
