Elsie Lea (Anders) Wagoner

Elsie Wagoner, age 86, passed away Monday, November 8th, 2021 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Hillsville, VA.

Elsie was born August 9th, 1935 in Alleghany County, NC to the late Page Lee and Ruby Greene Anders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Wagoner; a daughter, Shelia Taylor.

Survivors include a son, Philip Wagoner and wife Phyllis of Ennice; a daughter, Susan Aldred and husband Dennis of Galax, Va; a sister, Gaye Tolliver and husband Rex of Ennice; three grandchildren: Beth Hall and companion, John McGlamery of Sparta, Katie Wagoner of Roaring River, Robert Wagoner and wife Michelle of Sparta; five great-grandchildren: Riley, Jason, Kaylie and Henry Wagoner, Teri Hall; nieces and a nephew also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Elsie will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, November 11th, 2021 at Little Pine Covenant Brethren Church with Brother Ed Hall and Pastor Dale Baugus officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the families respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Medi-Home Hospice of Alleghany, PO Box 1287, Sparta, NC 28675 or to Glade Creek Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 39, Ennice, NC 28623.
