Eddie Lee Parsons

Eddie Lee Parsons, age 82 of Sparta, NC; passed away Monday, August 25th, 2025 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Eddie was born May 7th, 1943 in Grayson County, VA to the late Bill and Audrey Perkins Parsons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children: infant twins; two brothers: Denny Parsons and Larry Parsons. Eddie loved horses, mules, racing, trucking and tinkering with cars.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Mary Jane Parsons of the home; two daughters: Ramona Adams and husband David, Sherry Scott and husband Jamie; five grandchildren: a very special grandson, like a son, Matthew Parsons and wife Danielle of Independence, VA, Phillip Adams and wife Morgan, Christy Sells and husband John, Ashley Osborne and husband David, Hunter Scott; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services to honor the life of Eddie will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 29th, 2025 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Brother Robbie Dolinger officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
