In loving memory of Doyle Jay Evans, who was born on July 19th, 1948, and peacefully passed away at the age of 75 in his Jonesville, N.C. home on January 16th, 2024. Doyle shared this cherished space with his longtime friend, Kim Lunsford. He was the beloved son of the late Gwynn and Ima Evans, hailing from Darlington, MD. Preceded in death by his brother, Roger Evans, Doyle is survived by his brother Rodney Evans and his four children - Sheila Evans, Jerry Evans, Steve Evans and Matt Evans. He has a grandson, Tyler Lenane.
Doyle's health had been on a gradual decline over the past several years, but he found solace in spending the remainder of his days in North Carolina, a place that held a special spot in his heart. He took joy in playing with his feline companions, embodying an easygoing personality that endeared him to anyone willing to share a laugh or conversation.
A graveside service to honor and remember Doyle will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Glade Valley, N.C. on Monday, January 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. As we gather to bid farewell, let us celebrate the life of a man who brought warmth and laughter to those around him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
