Douglas Eugene Wagoner

Douglas "Doug" Eugene Wagoner, age 58, of Sparta, NC; passed away Saturday, May 9th, 2020 at Wilkes Medical Center in Wilkesboro, NC.

Doug was born May 14th, 1961 in Alleghany County to the late Clarence Eugene and Bonnie Lee Rector Wagoner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Wagoner.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Gilly Sturgill Wagoner of the home; a daughter, Tabatha Whitworth of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Debbie Pennington of Sparta; two special nieces, Tina Dillard and Tonya Richardson; great nieces and nephews also survive.

A private graveside service to honor the life of Doug, will be held on Monday, May 11th at Sparta Cemetery with Brother Hugh Miller officiating.
