Donnie Hudson

Donnie Hudson, age 73, of 95 Smith Road, Ennice, NC; passed away Friday, January 7th, 2022 at his home.

Donnie was born May 24th, 1948 in Alleghany County to the late Fred and Doris Wagoner Hudson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Dancy; his twin brother, Ronnie Hudson.

Donnie was the Owner/Operator of Hudson Rod Shop. He loved going to car shows and spending time with his friends. He was a member of the National Street Rod Association, The GoodGuys Rod and Custom Association, and Fairview Church in Galax, VA.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce Holderfield Hudson of the home; a daughter, Lisa Carico and husband Barry of Ennice; a special grandson, Ethan Carico and wife Raegan of Ennice; a special great-grandson, Hudson Carico of Ennice; a sister, Margaret Cox and husband Garnett of Richmond, VA, a brother, Floyd Hudson of Woodlawn, VA; several nieces and nephews; many special friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Donnie will be held at 11:00 am Sunday, January 9th, 2022 at Fairview Church in Galax, VA with Pastor Sam Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Home Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
