Donna Lynn Evans  

Donna Lynn Evans of Glade Valley, NC, was born on January 3, 1970, in Elkin, NC and departed on September 27, 2025. She had beautiful 55 years on this earth.

Survived by her Father Donald Parks, Brother Robert Parks, her 3 children; Johnny Evans and Wife Whitney Evans, Joshua Evans and Wife Kendra Evans, and Jennifer Williamson and Husband Patrick Williamson, and her 6 grandchildren; Nora Evans, Oliver Evans, Grant Evans, Delaney Evans, Emmett Evans, and Henry Evans, along with her companion and best friend, Tim Combs. She was proceeded in death by her Grandmother Nellie Choate and Mother, Linda Parks.

She professed her love for the Lord in June of 1988 at Mountain View Church and became a member. She embodied the love and joy of Jesus Christ in her daily life and was a loyal follower of His until her passing.

She will be deeply missed by her loved ones and everyone she encountered, as she was a bright light in this world. Living every day to her fullest, while being a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and companion. Her most proud accomplishment aside from being a mother and grandmother, was getting to create a Happy Place for the children of Glade Creek School during her time as Librarian. She cherished each memory with the kids and will be missed by many.

Her service will be held on Sunday October 5, 2025, at Sparta First Baptist church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and funeral will be held at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Mountain View Regular Baptist Church Cemetery.  To honor her memory, wear her favorite color; purple.
