Donald Ray Moxley

Donald Ray Moxley, age 75 of Ennice, NC; passed away Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 at SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin in Yadkinville, NC.

Donald was born March 23rd, 1950 in Alleghany County to the late Gwynn and Cleta Greene Moxley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Moxley. Donald retired from Grabow Pipes after 30 years. He was a craftsman and enjoyed restoring classic cars and hot rods.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sarah Wooten Moxley of the home; two children: Tony Moxley and wife Sabrina of Ennice, Joe Moxley and wife Michelle of Mt. Airy; two grandchildren: Austin Moxley and wife Madyson of Mt. Airy, Hannah Moxley of Mt. Airy; two step-grandchildren: Joshua Brannock and wife Jade of Fries, VA, Caleb Brannock and wife Hayden of Galax, VA; three step-great-grandchildren: Kes Brannock, Ollie Brannock, Avery Brannock; special cousins and friends, Chase and Amber Lineberry and son, Zayden of Ennice; best friends, Johnny Carpenter and Cliff Friend; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services to honor the life of Donald will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 24th, 2025 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Elder Russ Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Saddle Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and all other times at the residence.
