Dean Sparks

Edward Dean Sparks, age 68, of Sparta, NC; passed away Saturday, March 16th, 2024 at his residence.

Dean was born September 12th, 1955 in Bluefield, WV to the late Clarence Edward and Phyllis Clark Sparks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-sister.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Eula Chrisley Sparks of the home; two children: Pansey Sparks of Galax, VA and Rodney Sparks of Sparta; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Sparks of Sparta; three brothers: Rex A. Sparks and wife Velma of Piney Creek, David Sparks and wife Angela of Sparta, Clarence Sparks, Jr. of Statesville; a sister, Lisa Sizemore and husband Scott of Johnson City, TN; aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Dean will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 22nd, 2024 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverend Rex Sparks officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
