David R. Woodle

David R. Woodle, age 64, of Sparta; passed away Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC.

David was born February 25th, 1957 in Alleghany County to the late Edward and Marie Blevins Woodle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half-brothers: Wayne Blevins and Junior Blevins.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Caudill Woodle of the home; a son, David Jason Woodle and wife Hayley of Huntersville, NC; a daughter, Jenica Diane Woodle of Sparta; a grandson, Logan Tyler Woodle of Taylorsville, NC; a granddaughter, Savannah Jane Woodle of Huntersville, NC; a sister, Doris Maines and husband David; a brother, Larry Woodle and wife Ann; three half-sisters: Susie Woodel, Vida Woodel, and Ann Greene; a half-brother, Gene Blevins and wife Carlene; his mother-in-law, Ruth Halsey; a special sister-in-law, Linda Caudill Richardson and husband John; nieces, nephews, extended family and friend also survive.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of David will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 12th, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service. No formal visitation will be held.

The family respectfully ask for no food or visitors at the home.
