David Paul Walls

David Paul Walls, age 68 of Sparta; passed away Sunday, January 15th, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC.

David was born December 1st, 1954 in Wilmington, DE to Maxine Brooks Fender and the late Paul Walls. He was a talented Musician, Song Writer, and Guitarist. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Walls.

Survivors include his three children: Jacob Walls of Raleigh, Savannah Kilmartin and husband Jack of Sneads Ferry, NC, Mariah Locklear and husband Craig of Lumberton, NC; two step-sons, Daniel Beaton and wife Jill of Mt. Airy, NC, Lucas Pasley of Sparta; his mother, Maxine Fender of Sparta; two nephews: Alan Walls and Derrick Walls also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of David will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 19th, 2023 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Pastor Phil Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Edmonds Community Cemetery in Ennice. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
