David Lee Bost

David Lee Bost, age 66, of 3043 Old River Lane, Independence, Virginia; passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 at his residence.

David was born June 27th, 1955 in Cabarrus County, NC to Shirley Howard Bost and the late Benjamin Franklin Bost. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Dale Bost.

David was employed with Pioneer Eclipse in Sparta and had been for thirty plus years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially on the New River, fishing and canoeing.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Todd Bost of the home; two children: Alisha Blevins and husband Josh of Bland, VA, Jeremiah Bost and companion, Meghan Honaker of Hillsville, VA; two grandchildren: Kadence and Adalynn Blevins; his mother, Shirley Howard Bost of Concord, NC; two sisters: Debra Collins of State Road, NC, Karen Carter and husband Darryl of Concord, NC; a brother, Mike Bost of Concord, NC; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

A memorial service to honor the life of David will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at the home of David and Patricia Bost on the New River, 3043 Old River Lane, Independence, VA, 24348 with Pastor Todd Porter officiating. The family request that everyone attending the memorial to please bring your own chair. This will be an outdoor event and they ask that you dress accordingly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to assist with unexpected expenses.
