Cordia Lou Ellen (Caudill) Truitt

Cordia Caudill Truitt, age 87, of Sparta, NC; passed away Friday, September 13th, 2024 at Lotus Village in Sparta, NC.

Cordia was born September 13th, 1937 in Alleghany County to the late Lillie Billings Caudill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Truitt; a sister, Billie Caudill. Cordia enjoyed flower gardening and taking care of the squirrels and deer in her yard. She and her husband lived around the world during his military career.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Lanier and husband Damon of Los Alamitos, CA; two sisters: Sue White of Sparta; Joyce White and husband Bud of Dublin, VA.

A graveside service to honor the life of Cordia will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 21st, 2024 in Sparta Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Lotus Village and the staff of Gentiva Hospice.
