Clint Bedsaul Obituary

Clint Floyd Bedsaul, age 81, of Sparta, NC; passed away Sunday, January 17th, 2021 at his residence.

Clint was born June 14th, 1939 in Alleghany County to the late Elmer and Zenna Bottomley Bedsaul. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Ralph Bedsaul.

Clint was the Owner/ Operator of BCB Trucking Company and Truline Truss for many years; He was an avid car collector and enjoyed playing golf. He was a big proponent in helping Alleghany County acquire new industry, better highways and roads. He was very active in his community, serving on the Alleghany Memorial Hospital Board and support of the Alleghany Memorial Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament, a member of First Baptist Church of Sparta, Sparta Masonic Lodge, New River Shrine Club (Past President). Over 25 years ago, he founded the NC Mutual Insurance Company and continued to serve on the board until his death.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Linda Truitt Bedsaul of the home; a son, Bradley Clint Bedsaul and wife Noelle of Sparta; a granddaughter, Brooke Bedsaul of Little River, SC; a sister-in-law, Treva Bedsaul Johnson and husband Mack of Cana, VA; two nieces: Sandra Bedsaul Bowers of VA., and Lizzette Truitt and husband Art Garcia of FL.; a nephew, Rick Bedsaul and wife Vicki of Ennice; great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends also survive.

Cryptside services to honor the life of Clint will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 24th at Sparta Cemetery with the Reverend John McCray officiating. A Eulogy of Clint's life will be given by his granddaughter Brooke. A visitation will be held from 12:30 until 2:30 pm Sunday at First Baptist Church of Sparta. The family will not be present for visitation.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we request that everyone attending services and visitation to please bring and wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Sparta Building Fund, PO Box 668, Sparta, NC 28675 or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Diane Woodward, Laura Kemp and the entire staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for your excellent care and attention given to Clint and family.
