Christa Eva (Lang) Bennett

Christa Eva Bennett, age 89 of Sparta; passed away Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 at her residence.

Christa was born February 10th, 1937 in Germany to the late Karl and Kathrine Sommerer Lang. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurmond Bennett, Jr.

Christa is survived by a great niece, Yvonne Goetz and husband Marc; a great nephew, Joerg Zeigler both of Germany; a special niece, Barbara Moorman and husband Jay; three step-children and families, Kevin Bennett, Kim Howard, and Eric Bennett; a special "Daughter" and caregiver, Jodie Bennett; many special friends that she dearly loved.

A graveside service to honor the life of Christa will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 8th, 2026 at Sparta Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Medi-Home Health and Hospice and the staff of The Landings of Chestnut Grove.
