Celeste Taylor Bottomley

Celeste Taylor Bottomley, age 31 of Sparta; passed away Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center in High Point, NC.

Celeste was born May 16th, 1994 in Wilkes County, NC to Sherill Bottomley and Robin Billings Blethen. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillie Nicole Bottomley, her maternal grandfather, Roger Lee Billings, Sr.

Celeste loved music, her family, her community and especially her two nieces.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Robin and Andy Blethen of Sparta; her father and step-mother, Sherill and Amanda Bottomley; six brothers and sisters: Justin Bottomley (Ashley) of Sparta, Bailey Blethen of Buffalo, WY, Austin Bottomley, Lexus Bottomley, Cadin Bottomley, and Mylie Bottomley all of Sparta; two nieces, Olivia and Emma Bottomley of Sparta; maternal grandparents: Brenda Sturgill of King, NC, Tyler and Debbie Blethen of Winston-Salem, NC; paternal grandparents: Ben and Gail Bottomley of Sparta, Jerry and Debbie Edwards of Austinville, VA; maternal step-grandmother, Sherry Roberts; many cousins, extended family and lots of friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Celeste will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, April 17th, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Sparta with her uncle Roger Billings and her father Sherill Bottomley officiating. Interment will follow at Saddle Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm until time of service at the church and other times at the homes of Sherill and Amanda Bottomley and Robin and Andy Blethen.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff and High Point Medical Center for their love, care and support of Celeste and her family.
