Carolyn Sturgill Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn Jean Sturgill, age 64, of 2535 Grandview Dr., Sparta, NC; passed away Thursday, July 16th, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem.
Carolyn was born January 21st, 1956 in Alleghany County to the late Billy Carroll and Ella Mae Hodge Sturgill.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Sturgill of the home; a daughter, Crystal Halsey and husband Danny of Sparta; two grandchildren: Ethan and Carissa Halsey both of Sparta; a sister: Christine Saltz and husband Larry of Sparta; a special nephew: Brandon Saltz of Sparta; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
A going home service to honor the life of Carolyn will held at 12:00 pm Sunday, July 19th, 2020 at Sparta Church of God with Brother Doug Combs, Brother David Bumgarner, and Pastor Jonathan White officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
