Boyd Reeves Johnson

Boyd Reeves Johnson, age 86, of Ennice, NC; passed away Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elkin, NC.

Boyd was born May 19th, 1938 in Alleghany County to the late Claude and Mae Chappell Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Moxley Johnson; two brothers: Billy Johnson, Robert Mack Johnson; three sisters: Reba Vaughn, Jewell Gay Moxley, Emma Lee Johnson.

Survivors include five children: Ricky Johnson and wife Donna of Fountain Inn, SC, Nicky Johnson and wife Charlie of Gray Court, SC, Sharon Coots and husband Hal of Ennice, Chris Johnson and wife Sherry of Snow Hill, VA, Thad Johnson and wife Tonya of Traphill; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

A graveside service to honor the life of Boyd will be held at 4:00 pm, Monday, July 15th, 2024 at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Bruce Wayne Osborne VFW Post #7034. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service prior to the graveside service.
