Blayne Workman Obituary
Dennis Blayne Workman, age 67 of Sparta; passed away Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 at his residence.
Blayne was born February 13th, 1954 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late James E. and Christine Scruggs Workman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Williams.
Prior to moving to North Carolina, Blayne worked for many years with Apex Towing in Maryland. Until recently, Blayne worked for Speedway in Sparta.
Survivors include three children: Dennis Workman of MI., Paul Workman of NC., and Jamie Smith of NC; five grandchildren; two sisters: Linda Joines and husband Lonnie of Sparta, Illene Lee and husband Larry of Whiteford, MD., a brother, James E. Workman and wife Gloria of Garysburg, NC; several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Blayne will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 19th, 2021 at West Side Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
