Billie Franklin Brown

Billie Franklin Brown, age 83, of 1352 Fraser Road, Sparta; passed away Thursday, April 1st, 2021 at his residence.

Billie was born May 8th, 1937 in Wilkes County to the late Haywood and Esther Faye Higgins Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Montgomery; two spouses: Glenda Brown and Lois Brown; two brothers: Bert F. Brown and Lonnie Brown; two sisters: Irene Vannoy and Alene Brown.

Survivors include four children: Charles W. Brown and wife Sarah of Greensboro, Kathy Blankenship and husband Tim of Sparta, Vicki Carter of Sparta, Ronald S. Brown and wife Carrie of Gaylesville, AL; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, LeRoy Brown and wife Mary Alice of Sparta; five sisters: Ima Elizabeth Shupe of Trap Hill, Louise Royall and husband Don Ray of Trap Hill, Kay Osborne and husband Mack of Cherry Lane, Dorothy Edwards and husband Coy of Sparta, Mary Waddell of Elkin, Shirley Wall and husband Ronald of Glade Valley; nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Billie will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 5th, 2021 at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship with Dr. Brian Galyean and Reverend Charlie Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens in State Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we ask that everyone attending the service and visitation at the church to please bring and wear a mask.
