Betty (Miles) Toliver

Betty Miles Toliver, age 70, of 784 Camp Cheerio Road, Glade Valley, NC; passed away Friday, December 3rd, 2021 at her residence.

Betty was born July 10th, 1951 in Alleghany County to the late Fred Grady Miles and Ruby Jane Brown Miles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Grady Miles, Alfred Miles and James Miles; four sisters: Margie Andrews, Peggy Hinshaw, Ethel Davis and Betty Ann Miles; a half brother, George Franklin Brown.

Survivors include her husband, John Hillery Toliver of the home; a son, Jason Toliver and wife Brandy of Sparta; a daughter, Elizabeth Shore and husband David of Rural Hall; two grandchildren: Abigail Toliver and Jacob Toliver both of Sparta; a brother, George Miles of Glade Valley; a special friend, Marlene Shaw of Sparta; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

A memorial service to honor the life of Betty will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, December 5th, 2021 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Elder Allen Edwards and Brother Gary West officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
