Betty Jane (Bourne) Sheets

Betty Jane Bourne Sheets, age 78, of Glade Valley, NC; passed away Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at her residence.

Betty was born November 19th, 1945 in Grayson County, VA to the late Delbert Roy and Edna Shinault Bourne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Clint and J.C. Bourne; two sisters: Louella Simons and Loretta Miller.

Survivors include her husband, George Franklin Sheets of the home; three children: Linda Lee and wife Michelle Sheets of Sparta, Ronnie Sheets and wife Amanda of Glade Valley, Gale Sheets and wife Sheena of Glade Valley; four grandchildren: Dylan Sheets and companion Mary Martin, Shea Sheets, Seth Sheets, Gavin Sheets; two step-grandchildren: Steven Crouse and wife Kelly, Tyandra McPherson; two great-grandchildren: Owen Crouse and Mya McPherson; two sisters: Maggie Hamm of Ennice, Effie Osborne of Elk Creek; two brothers David Bourne and wife Pam of Ennice, Clifford Bourne and wife Debra of Ennice; nieces and nephews also survive.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
