Betty Carol (Hunt) Royal

Betty Carol Hunt Royal, age 77, of Ennice; passed away Friday, January 10th, 2025 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.

Betty was born September 30th, 1947 in Tazewell, VA to the late Herman Raleigh Hunt and Mildred Horn Hunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Royal; three brothers: Ernie, Charlie and Bobby Hunt. Betty was retired from Hanes Corporation and enjoyed crocheting and putting together puzzles.

Survivors include her son, Carroll Royal and companion Stephanie Dowell of Ennice; a brother, Roy Hunt and wife Nancy of Sparta; a sister, Sandy Murphy of Lexington, KY; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Betty will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Independence, VA with Reverend Charlie Bennett and Ken Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
