Betty Perry Obituary
Betty Ruth Perry died peacefully at her home December 28th, 2021 at the age of 72.
She loved her family more than anything. Spending time with her kids and grand kids is what made her happy.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Perry and both of her parents, Jessie Ben and Francis Mae Hodge.
Survivors include two sons: Jessie Perry and wife Regina, James Perry and wife Rebecca all of Sparta; six grand kids: Jessie Mae Crouse and husband Chris, Kimberly Billings and husband William, Brittany Perry, James Perry and girlfriend Lilly, Justin Perry and wife Brittany all of Sparta, Jacqueline Perry and boyfriend Jay Shinant of Mt. Airy; fifteen great-grand kids: Selena and Shawn Crouse, William, Matthew and Isabella Billings, Bailey and Bentley Perry, Cambrin and Ca'saya Scott, Claya Darnell, Raylynn and Carrigan Perry, Zayden Shinant, and Skylar Crouse; brothers, Jessie Hodge and wife Lisa of Booneville, Clifford Hodge and wife Thelma of Sparta; sisters Linda Burnette of Independence, VA, Rosalee Church of State Road, Robin Klingensmith and husband Robert of Sparta; Mary Holloway and boyfriend Michael of Fries, VA; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 31st, 2021 in the Perry Family Cemetery at her home at 3233 Prathers Creek Church Road, Sparta, NC 28675 with Brother Ed Hall officiating.
Betty will lie in state at the home and visitation will begin from 3:00 pm Thursday, December 30th, 2021 until time for service on Friday.
The family would like to thank her sister Robin for all the time you gave to Betty taking her to Doctors appointments and spending time with her during her care. A special thank you to a dear friend, David Rash for all of his love and support, and to Thomas Family Funeral Service for your service.
