Betty Adams Obituary
Betty Jordan Adams, 72, of 2219 Mahogany Rock Road, Sparta, passed away Tuesday, July 28th, 2020 at Grayson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Independence, VA.
Betty was born December 9, 1947 in Alleghany County to the late John Paige and Georgia Dowell Billings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: P.K. Jordan and Page Adams.
Betty is survived by a son, Kurt Jordan and wife Angella of East Bend, NC; three daughters: Tina Jordan, Lucy Pollard, and Betty Guynn all of Sparta; a brother, Danny Billings and wife Carol of Winston-Salem; two sisters: Linda Edwards of Sparta, Ellen Wright and husband Melvin of Sparta; ten grandchildren: Gloria Richardson, Monica Torres, Jonathon and Jason Jordan, Rob and Greg Pollard, Chrissy Chandler, Rhe Adams, Crystal Douglas and Don Guynn; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Betty will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at Whitehead Union Baptist Church with Dr. Brian Galyean and Brother Ed Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehead-Joines Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family will not have formal visiting hours however, Betty will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
