Barbara Jean (Sayers) Brinegar

Barbara Jean Sayers Brinegar, age 79 of 428 Glade Creek School Road, Ennice, NC; passed away Thursday, July 31st, 2025 at her residence.

Barbara was born May 9th, 1946 in Tazwell, VA to the late William "Bill" and Agnes Stanley Sayers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Hall. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking and decorating her yard.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert Dean Brinegar of the home; two children: Jerry Dean Brinegar and wife Martha of Laurel Springs, Sherry Brinegar Parks and husband Carson of Roanoke, VA; two grandchildren: Brandy Lynn Abbatello and husband Brandon of Sykesville, MD, Tyler William Brinegar and Anna Moss of Crumpler, NC; three great grandchildren: Brody Carson Abbatello, Weston Cole Brinegar, Baylee Lynn Abbatello; five siblings: Roger Sayers of MD, Ronnie Sayers of MD, Debbie Andrews of DE, Sharon Peterson of NC, Donna Creswell of PA; several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Barbara will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 3rd, 2025 at Sparta Church of God with Pastor Doug Combs officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
