Aubrey Brandt Caldwell

Aubrey Brandt Caldwell, age 80, of Elk Creek, VA; passed away Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 in Independence, VA.

Aubrey was born October 6th, 1940 in Blackburg, VA., to the late Clarence Emory and Alice Craighead Caldwell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Wayne, Emory, and Gary Caldwell; a grandson, Josh Boyer.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Sutherland Caldwell of the home; a daughter, Starlena Boyer and husband Phillip of Independence; a son, Andrew B. Caldwell and wife Melinda of Elk Creek; three grandchildren: Adam Boyer and wife Natalie, Robert Brandt Caldwell, and Garrett Emory Caldwell; two great grandchildren: Caleb Seth Boyer and Emma Kate Boyer; a brother, Dennis Caldwell and wife Linda of Smithfield, VA; two sisters: Jean Russell and husband Bob of Hampton, VA., Judy Conner and husband LeRoy of Troutman, NC; a special niece, her husband and children: Heather Sutherland Cole and husband Brandon, Jaycee and Bailey Cole; special friend, Sandra Sutherland of Elk Creek; several nieces, nephews and extended friends and family also survive.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be conducted to honor the life of Aubrey at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at Brush Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Independence, VA.
