William Kenneth Bright

William Kenneth Bright, age 86, of 4868 US Hwy 221, Sparta; passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.

Kenneth was born September 23rd, 1933 in Yadkin County to the late Carl Collins and Ada Bell North Bright. He proudly served in the US Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. He was a faithful member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church in Piney Creek. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Bright; two sisters: Martha Canfield and his twin sister, Honor Couch.

Survivors include is wife of 55 years, Vaunita Bright of the home; a daughter, Donna Hamby and husband Brian of Kernersville; two sons: David Bright and wife Lisa of Sparta, Dwayne Bright and wife Wendy of Sparta; four grandchildren: Christy Bright, Pachia Bright, Maddy Shelor, and Daniel Bright; 2 great-grandchildren: Brantlee Hardy and Brylee Hardy; two brothers: Jack Bright and wife Janet of California, Jimmy Bright and wife Jeanine of Florida; nieces, nephews, and host of friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Kenneth will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 7, 2019 at New Home Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Eric Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the US Air Force. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until time of service at the church and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vaunita Bright, 4868 US Hwy 221, Sparta, NC 28675 to go to Ebenezer Children's Home.
