Steven Gene Harris

Steven Gene Harris, age 65, of Sparta, NC; passed away Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Steve was born September 18th, 1954 in Alleghany County to the late Betty Pruitt Harris. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by an uncle, Eugene Pruitt; two sisters-in-law: Kathy Brinegar and Donna Rector.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Patty Farmer Harris of the home; two sons: Andy Harris and wife Samantha of Sparta, Brandon Harris and wife Christy of Sparta; three grandchildren: Drew, Skylar, and Millie Harris;
a brother, Eddie Harris of Sparta; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Steve will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at West Side Independent Baptist Church in Sparta with the Reverend Kent Eller officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence of Andy and Samantha Harris, 11 Cahn Road, Sparta.
