Edna Edwards Miller, age 97, of Laurel Springs, NC; passed away Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 at her residence.
Edna was born December 11th, 1922 in Alleghany County, NC to the late Robert and Mae Hampton Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Miller; a brother, Robert Edwards; a sister, Ella Dennison.
Edna was retired from Alleghany County Schools and a member of Laurel Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons: Sam Miller and wife Pamela of Wilkesboro, Robbins Miller and wife Sherrie of Millers Creek; two daughters: Linnea Miller of Sparta, Jane Miller Braswell and husband Sherrill of Nashville, NC; six grandchildren: Patrick Miller, Heather Causby, Sarah Miller-Wyatt, Carrie Miller, Micah Miller, and Matthew Braswell; six great-grandchildren: Graham Miller, Wyatt Miller, Emma Osborne, Addison Causby, Lee Braswell, Emersyn Wyatt; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Edna will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 at the Laurel Springs Baptist Church with the Reverends Dana Hines and Tom Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Robbins Miller Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
