Billye Norma (Jones) Daniel

Billye Jones Daniel, age 83, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and formerly of Alleghany County; passed away Thursday, February 6th, 2020 in Shalotte, NC.

Mrs. Daniel was born May 13th, 1936 in Ashe County, NC to the late Hoyt Lee and Mary Virginia Perkins Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Halsey and Janet McKnight; a brother, Hoyt Allen Jones; a brother-in-law, Joe McKnight. She retired from Alleghany County Public Schools where she taught Business Education.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mrs. Daniel, will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Mt. Carmel Church of the Brethren in Scottville with Pastor Dale Baugus officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Survivors include her brother, David Casey Jones and wife Laura of Sparta; four nephews: Phillip Halsey and wife Karen, Rodney Halsey and wife Stacy, Sam Jones and wife Shannon, and Chuck Jones; a niece, Kimberly Jo McKnight; several great nieces and nephews also survive.
